• Hello, Because this system has a higher end graphics card, it works well with either a 1080p or 1440p monitor, it is up to you whether you want to pay more for the higher resolution. The hz does matter as that can dictate how smooth the graphics look. For 1080p or 1440p with this GPU we recommend 60hz or 144hz.
