Desktops rarely, if ever ship with integrated wifi. This machine however does ship with a wifi card in one of the PCI slots. Simply screw on the included antennas and you're good to go! I would recommend using wired LAN whenever possible though, it tends to be much faster and more reliable.

You're right that the motherboard doesn't have wifi built in. However, It does come with a wireless card.
