Volume is so subjective on this one. Some people are fine with loud noise, some people are very sensitive. I'll just say that when it's idling, it's as loud as a gaming laptop at turbo performance. When the iBuyPower is at turbo, it's as loud as a car starting up. I think the fan noise is by design. Even if you tweak BIOS to silent, it's still loud imo. Maybe iBuyPower used cheap fans on this one so if you're all right with doing it yourself, you could replace them with better quality ones.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yeah, it's loud. I returned mine because of this. Even if you put the PC on silent mode in BIOS, it gets loud the moment you open an app.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There is a minor configuration flaw out of the box: the fans run at full speed regardless of temperature, making them unnecessarily loud. To FIX this, go into the BIOS, set the fan control to PWM mode, and save the settings. This resolves the issue. Hopefully the manufacturer addresses this in future batches.

This wasn't quiet enough for me, so I used the A-tuning app and tinker with the individual fan speeds, and now it is almost whisper quiet. I have not tried every AAA games out there yet, but most games I have played so far like Returnal, Control, and FORZA 4, it never goes beyond 60 deg Celcius and yet the fans are still very quiet in comparison to the default settings. I am not intending to squeeze every ounce of the PC's performance though as I want it to last as long as possible instead of stressing it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.PC fan volume is fine IMO. Could they be more quiet? Yes. And you can adjust the fans with the software included or go into bios and do it pretty easy as well.
