“I bought this and an HDMI cord and hooked it up to a monitor and the monitor is hooked up. The computer turns on cuz all the lights light up. I even tried hooking it up to a smart TV and nothing. How do I fix this?”

• Common mistake made is that its being plugged into the motherboard and not the GPU, make sure it is being plugged into the graphics card

• you need to plug the HDMI cord into the graphics card ports
