That cable is for the side LCD MONITOR !

It IS an HDMI, its for plugging in the LCD side panel to the graphics card. The display on the side is upside down though, so you will have to flip it in the display options to have it work correctly. There should be instructions in the box on how to do this. Wallpaper engine works great for decorating this display and is pretty cheap on steam.
