A difficult question to answer really, it depends on a lot of different variables. Also depends on which game your playing, I have a 165hz monitor because I just bought a 3060ti and when I get it in I will actually see those higher fps more frequently. As of now if your playing games like GTA5 or cyberpunk 2077 do not expect to see those high fps without sacrificing quality as I'm sure you know. With that being said, I play GTA5 modded on story mode obviously.... and I get high enough fps to not notice anything wrong and I run on max settings. Again, everyone's setup will produce different results based on a lot of other factors so keep that in mind. Ide say for you getting as 144hz monitor is a great upgrade and once you plug it in after playing on a limited 60hz monitor you will not only notice how much smoother gameplay is but visually it improves the games visual appeal in a way that's only felt once you make the upgrade. Well worth the money spent in my opinion. Anyway, I hope it helps and good luck!
