“I have this on my Toyota 4Runner & love it! I want to install it on my Subaru Forester, too. If I move forward with this, is there any chance when I use my fob to start my 4Runner that it could send a signal to start the Forester? And vice versa?”

Nope, each remote is programmed to the specific remote starter unit so it'll only start the car that its programmed to -- similar concept as your car keys which only work with your car
