Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have an Incipio case and it docks fine but anything much larger or thicker probably won't work.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I tried using the dock on top of the iHome unit with my iPhone 7S housed in an Otterbox Commuter case. Unfortunately, it would not make a proper connection with the Lightning dock on top of the radio/alarm unit. I was able to solve that by going to a thinner case which is made by Apple. It is a leather case and actually looks quite stylish. (Apple also makes the same case in a durable man made material. The leather cases are made in a number of colors - read, blue, black, dark brown, and tan). I have a Zagg Glass+ screen protector on my iPhone to help protect the screen from cracking if I accidentally drop my phone. The Apple iPhone case has reinforced corners so that if it is dropped it will not damage the phone. Hope this answer helps!
