A:AnswerSee my review. My older (2nd generation) iPad has the larger 20-pin connector. If you have a newer iPad with the 9-pin (I think) connector that will work on this unit.
A:AnswerThe connection is the new 1/4" wide Apple one, not the older 1" one. So your iPhone 7 would work, but not the 1st gen iPod, and probably not the 4S.
