• Nope! at least I didn't use one. Read the directions, plugged in & set the time. User friendly

• Thank you for your question. You can set the clock right from the unit. You don't need an app to set the clock.

• No. I set the clock up from the instructions. The instructions are bit confusing at first. So you might have to read them over. The radio is very weak. I had to buy an antenna extension.
