Dear Piper, It should automatically reconnect once the device is in range. However, you have to press play again for the music to start playing. If the problem persists, reset the Bluetooth settings and pair again. Press and hold the Bluetooth button for 10-12 seconds until you hear a distinctive sound. This will reset and erase all the Bluetooth settings on the iBT281. Restart your iPhone and pair again.
