• It comes with and takes 2 AA’s. I’m still on the original batters 3+ weeks later. I bought extra batteries and an ac/dc adapter charger but haven’t had to use either yet.

• It’s a great CD player for the size and Money.. It works well in the car and audio comes right thru the radio speaker. I think AA batteries are what are required. The directions will specify.

• The IPCD603B requires two AA batteries, you can use a 4.5V 600mA small pin AC Adapter or Car Adapter. That Said, the adapters will power the CD Player, but does not charge.
