I’m “technologically challenged” but I’ve taken a picture of the buttons. You can probably determine that from seeing it. It is a really great product considering the price.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.While you are listening and are ready to stop listening; press the play button and it will stop playing. When you are ready to listen again, hit the play button again and it will pick up where you left off. I haven't noticed much loss in battery life. I do listen to the CD player often on a daily basis. You will have to monitor it to see if you lose battery power over time. It is possible there is another way to accomplish what you want that I may not know about.
