“will best buy have option to upgrade the memory to 16GB soon ?”

I'm sorry, I am not sure. You might have to contact Best Buy for that. I have 8GB and it's fast. I'm very impressed with this desktop iMac.

look at the manufacturer section of this product it clearly indicates unified ram up to 16GB
