“After 3+ weeks from the date I purchased a new car receiver from best buy I finally had it installed in mycar at Best . Car already had a backup camera. New stereo camera ready. Installer said he couldnt hook it up and gave no reason why. Is this normal”

Depending on the connections that your factory OEM radio had to connect the original back up camera would depend on if an Autotech would be able to tie into that system. There would be extra labor, and time needed to complete this service, and possibly additional adapters required.
