My new JVC unit came with an external microphone (for handling phone calls via Bluetooth) as well as a USB cable connection coming out the back of the unit. Neither of these were on the OEM unit, bu they cost nothing extra; even neatly routing the microphone cable to the top of the A post pillar inside trim. The end of the USB cable was routed to the glove box. I shopped around for installation fees, and Geek Squad was the most inexpensive by far.

A few weeks ago they had an Alpine 141 or 143 unit with BT with free installation, but I haven't seen anything since. I had my head unit installed by the BB in Bridgewater, NJ. Adil, the tech, did an outstanding job and it was only $65, plus tax! My local stereo shop would have charged at least $100, plus parts. The other thing I like about BB is if I'm on the road and there's an issue with the install, any BB with an installation department can handle the repair for free if is covered under the lifetime installation warranty.

A:AnswerThe only person that would be able to answer your questions would be the installation guy at Best Buy. He would be able to tell you if there is a replacement for your radio and if it can look good too. IMHO, you are better off just getting a new radio instead of monkeying around trying to fix the old one.
