Is this matte or glossy plastic? null

The case is matte with a very subtle texture.

I have the “pink” version of this case (IPK in the model number but it looks more a light lavender). If it is like my current and previous incase “dots” cases, it is completely matte. In the old days, incase used to offer more colors and two product lines. They used to have the “dots” matte line and another line that was gloss/shiny with a name like “candyshell” or something. I’ve had both, and they both worked great, but incase seems to have almost no variety any more, just matte black and matte “clear” (the older matte “clear” had an unattractive purplish tint. I gave not been willing to try the newer ones, as they look the same ). Incase’s website and most searches (even incase’s own) ignore what model computer you enter, and make it very hard to find anything but black and “clear” so if you do find one you like, I recommend getting the incase model number from the listing, and do searches on that.
