• The larger game board, the one that costs $1000, it has a battery which I believe is sold separately. This particular one has to be plugged in to play. As far as I know, or at least I haven't researched it a lot, it doesn't have a battery pack. I hope this helps.

• Not sure about that battery of the name. But when my husband looked up the battery pack, it was $200.
