• Yes but you would have to create a Roku account and a credit card is required but not charged unless you purchase something.

• You can use this TV without cable. Not sure about connecting without paying anything. I do not believe you could connect to Netflix without paying, but YouTube might be possible.

• Yes you can use this tv without cable. And Yes you can connect to Netflix if you have a current Netflix account. And you can connect to You Tube with out paying anything else.
