• No. A digital cable carries a digital signal, it either works or it does not (all or nothing). Further mote, the 4k apps are built into the TV, you need only load them from withing the TV's built in roku os. there is no cable to leverage for the smart apps. For 4k signal from your cable box a standard hdmi cable will be able to carry the signal as long as your cable box has 4k ability.
