Does it eventually start rusting on the inside? null

No, what makes that happen is when people continue to hot items without covering them the steam will damage the inside of almost all micorwave's. Sometimes you'll see rust and other times your see the protective covering from the inside of the microwave start to bubble . Now, if there is food left on it in time that will cause any object that contains metal to rust . That goes for even ovens. I hope this is helpful.
