- Answer Make sure you aren't suffocating the sides of the microwave. The vents on the side are there for a reason. If you continue to have problems contact manufacturer, pretty sure this is a safety feature, so you could have a bigger issue going on.

- Answer It's metal, so if you rub a sharp pointed piece of metal against it then it might scratch. I do not think it will scratch easily.

- Answer This microwave beeps FIVE TIMES - long and loud! I use this in my office as well and the beeping and volume of the beeps is irritating not only to me, but my co-workers. If I had known there was no 'off' switch for this, I would not have bought it!
