• Hello there! yes, the Insignia Compact Microwave does have a Kitchen timer that can be used separately. You will be able to locate the instructions on how to operate it in page #12 in the included owners manual. -John Insignia Support.

• There is a kitchen timer, but I have yet to be able to make that work when it is actually cooking something. Our old one did this (cook and time simultaneously), but I don't think this one has that functionality (at least I haven't figured it out if it does!)

• The timer goes off he display screen and the display screen then shows the minutes remaining for whatever cooking time you set. When the cooking time is finished. you press the stop button two times to again display the clock.
