• Yes, I had different problems from the 1st time I used it. Often times the beeping sound would not stop at the end of warming something up. Most of the time the beeping would then turn into a solid tone that would not stop until I unplugged it. If it did stop, it would randomly start beeping again a few minutes after the microwave turned off. A few times after I unplugged it and then plugged it back in, the solid tone would start again without turning on the microwave. I returned it after a couple of days and got another one. So far, no problem with the replacement after 1 month of use.

• I bought this same Insignia microwave from Best Buy Southpoint Durham less one year ago. Last night it turned itself on and ran on in the wee night hours. Now its control panel buttons do not work. Plug it in and off it runs! Piece of cheap crap.

• I had the same problem yesterday with this microwave that I purchased 18 months ago. Turned on by itself and couldn't turn off without pulling the plug. That is dangerous.

• Just happened to me after owning it for 3 years. The fan turned on and the plate started turning. I put some food in it to see if it would heat, and it does not. Bummer. Unplug and replug didn't fix it

• 3 years old not bad for an inexpensive microwave. Probably cheaper to replace unless you got the service contract.
