is the keypad backlit? null

The keypad is not backlit. It does, however, have the brightest clock I've ever experienced -- lights up the kitchen almost to the point where you don't need overhead lights (only a slight exaggeration).

I have the same issue. Only a few items on the screen light up. The entire screen is not lit. Is there a switch, button or sequence that lights it? Otherwise, you need a flashlight. There is nothing about it in the instruction manual.
