“What material is this plastic kettle made of?”

• no metal parts in the kettle, it appears to be some kind of abs plastic. The heating element is inside the base which undocks from the kettle piece. It's essentially a two piece item, the base and the kettle. The dock is cleverly designed for easy seamless operation.
