How much space do you need for venting? null

I put ours in a fairly small enclosed area and the right side is open and faces our sink. I am quite confident it is well vented. Our last unit lasted almost 20 years in that space. Like any other appliance, I would not completely box it in. It has to breathe a little.

This microwave requires 3 inches on sides and back and a minimum clearance above the microwave of 12 inches.
