Mine is not really an answer BUT my doorlatch broke also. I've been looking EVERYWHERE for a replacement. Can't find it. So I have a 2 year old microwave that is useless because I can't find a $12.00 part and we have to go spend even more money.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Has anyone found the correct fitting door latch I've tried several off Amazon but haven't found one that fits yet
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Same issue the door broke? Any way to get a reolacement door. Reached out to Insgnia support no help. Should not best buy help in these cases its their product and bought from their store
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had the same problem I removed the inside plastic frame ( with a table knife ) very easy to come off. Them removed the 6 screws holding the steel framing and window. I opened it enough to expose the latch part. I discovered that a small plastic hook had broken off where the spring is suppose to hook up. I took a very small ZIP LOCK , wrapped it around the spring and through hole in the hook mechanism. Tighten the zip lock to bring spring to approximately where the hook was. Cut the left over of the Zip lock. Put it all back together and Voila Works like new again. Cost was a bit of time and a Zip lock.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Same issue - this model is less than two years old and the door latch is broken and no replacement is available.... now I have to buy a new microwave. It is in an RV that is stationary - won't recommend or buy this brand again.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We have the exact same issue. Microwave is not even 2 years old and the door latch is broken. Our is in our camper unfortunately and my warrantee wants me to get the exact same one.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Couldn’t find the part. The zip tie idea, works great! I think it’s stronger than the wimpy hook that broke. Gotta mess with it a bit but take your time and figure it out. Thanks!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Just had a similar incident. Made it 2.5 years, but now the door won't register as being closed so the microwave won't operate. Going to try the zip tie route, but thinking a new one is in our future.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.2 years old seems to be the common thing. Mine did the same thing. Looked up the Insignia site. Says they are available by email, all emails bounce back. Says available by phone, no phone number on the site. Saw a YouTube video and says don't waste time trying to glue but drill a small hole in the remaining piece and reattach. Like the zip tie solution too. Reached out to Grand Design and they are looking too.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Bottom line is that it's a 129.00 Chinese made micro. you can find maybe not such a direct part but ones that can be used. I have found them on line.
