“Why is the back lower section uncovered exposing the wires?”

• I see that this is because the compressor needs to breath and cool, however, is there a way to allow this but while being able to enable pests from getting in?

• Its normal, this is to allow proper airflow to the compressor. The wires you see connect the compressor to the unit. Do not cover it & leave 5 inches away from wall for proper ventilation.

• I'm pretty sure it's to allow the coils to breathe similar to a normal fridge having a grill on the bottom front.

• The compressor needs to breath. All refrigerators have a exposed back.

• It probably has to be well ventilated to keep cool. The wires are covered so there is no risk for shock-

• Most older or small refrigerators have the lower section exposed allowing air to the motor preventing it from overheating. I have never had problems with the exposed wires with other refrigerators I have owned.

• You need the cardboard cover on the back of the refrigerator. It helps direct the flow of air from the fan over the condenser. Otherwise the refrigerator will overheat.
