  • QuestionRefrigerator makes water noises whenever I open and close the door,, is that normal?

    Asked by JD.

    • Answer Hi JD! Hearing water noises when you open and close your refrigerator door can be quite common and is usually not a cause for concern. Here are a few possible reasons for these sounds: ~Water Movement: The gurgling or bubbling sound you hear might be due to water moving through the drain tube or refrigerant flowing through the system. ~Defrost Cycle: During the defrost cycle, water can drip into the drain pan, causing a dripping or gurgling noise. ~Temperature Changes: The expansion and contraction of plastic parts inside the fridge due to temperature changes can also create popping or cracking sounds. If the noise is excessive or you notice any performance issues, it might be worth checking for any obstructions or you may reach us out for further assistance, please access this link https://www.bestbuy.com/site/best-buy-brands/support/pcmcat1693515381920.c?id=pcmcat1693515381920. • QuestionWhy doesn't the vegetable crisper drawer close all the way? That seems to make the humidity slider pretty much useless.

    Asked by wanechero.

    • Answer One reason could be that the drawer is overcrowded, preventing it from closing properly. Try removing some of the items in the drawer to see if that helps it close completely. Another reason could be that the drawer is not on the proper track or has come off of the track altogether. Check to make sure the drawer is properly aligned on the track and adjust it if necessary. Additionally, the gaskets or seals around the drawer may be worn or damaged, preventing it from closing properly. In this case, you may need to replace the gaskets to ensure a tight seal. If none of these solutions work, the issue may be with the refrigerator itself. • QuestionMy power went out and since it’s come back on…there is a funky fishy smell coming from the drip pan. It is attached with a screw. I am wondering if it is safe to unscrew it and clean it out with vinegar and water? This won’t upset the cyclopentane?

    Asked by Jack.

    • Answer I apologize for the inconvenience you are experiencing with your refrigerator. It is safe to unscrew the drip pan and clean it out with vinegar and water. This should help eliminate the funky fishy smell you are noticing. Using vinegar and water should not upset the cyclopentane, which is a common refrigerant used in refrigerators. If you have any further concerns or questions, please feel free to reach out to our customer service team for more assistance.- Mae | Insignia Support | https://www.bestbuy.com/site/brands/best-buy-brands/pcmcat1596746025285.c?id=pcmcat1596746025285

  • Questionhow do i remove bottom glass to clean

    Asked by bob.

    • Answer Thank you for your inquiry! To remove and clean the bottom glass shelf of a refrigerator, start by unplugging the appliance to ensure safety. Empty the shelf of any items to avoid spills or breakages. Next, locate the metal clips or brackets that hold the shelf in place. Carefully lift the shelf upward and then slide it out of the refrigerator. Once removed, clean the shelf with mild detergent and warm water, ensuring it is completely dry before replacing it. Carefully set the shelf back in place, ensuring it is securely positioned on the shelf clips or brackets. Finally, plug the refrigerator back into the power source. Following these steps allows for safe and efficient cleaning of the bottom glass shelf.
