Thicker copper conductors do allow greater lengths, due to lower resistance, but the usual cables are good for up to 25 feet. Otherwise, Monoprice does offer low resistance cables of thicker conductors. Cables have no effect on resolution, as the physics of electronics relating to wire can prove. Don't let marketing hype and ignorant sales people fool you.
