• Yes it does. Shreds CD's and credit cards with no problem. Very efficient. I don't open junk mail any longer. It shreds several pages at one time without jamming.

• yes - you can shred old credit cards and sample ones so long as you shred the one at a time. shredding two credit cards or more in this shredder will break it.
