Short answer, yes. We went to Venice, Italy for the week of Easter and I bought this portable charger to use for our phones. It worked flawlessly. But realize that the cable to charge the portable charger is just a micro-usb to usb-a. So you will be charging it from another device that will connect to the Europe power, 220v. You will not be plugging it in to a wall socket without going through another device like a phone charging block, laptop, or an Anker portable USB charger (with an adapter), which is what we used.
