Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It all depends on the case. I have a card holder case (license/debit card) for the iPhone X and even with the cards in the case, it works. Anymore than a few more millimeters and there won’t be enough distance for the charging feature to work. My wife has an iPhone 8 with a little bit of a bulkier case and she has to take off her case for it to charge. I’ve noticed with her iPhone 8 and it sitting bare on the charger, it manages to slide off all on its own - maybe it’s her phone but I would not recommend it for the 8.
