“Is this item black across the entire back with the white portion attached to the top of it or is the back opened with the white hanging in the open middle. A light shinning in my yard to where is this is not black under the white it won't work for me.”

Not work because it’s open in the back
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The area behind the white screen is open. The white screen is pretty thick though. I don’t believe it would be translucent.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It is open in the back so the screen just clips into the open space, if a light coming through is a concern I wouldn't suggest this particular screen.
