• If you put both adapters on it would work. However, you'd be better off just buying the right cable.

• The answer to your question is as follows: if you are looking for two Channel (stereo) absolutely) if single channel (mono) in most cases yes. The following could happen. Only one side will work, both will be the same and in rare circumstances, because of the connecter construction, neither side will work.
