• Not really sure as both of mine are inside but freezers are typically more insulated than refrigerators. Temp set display is very handy and I'm happy with mine so far.

• I live in Texas and own this freezer. I do however keep it in my house. This freezer has a quick freeze option that works VERY well. I would have no problem putting in the freezer and trusting food to stay frozen.
