“Is this freezer well-suited for use in an uninsulated garage in Texas? If this model isn't suitable for hot summer temps, do you make a model that can withstand the heat? The compressor on our current freezer failed from the heat.”

I use mine as a refrigerator only. The product may also be set as a freezer only. We have another one different brand however that we use as a freezer in Fla. It is well over 8 years no with no issues at all I think this product would handle the freezer task just fine. There is temp read out on mine so it is easy to set or regulate

So far worked great in cold weather north east but lately the weather here in ohio have warmed up. The unit is working good and maintaining the set temperature to 37 for. My recommendation buy yet and try bby have a good return policy I think 15 days. I definitely recommend getting the extended warranty. Hopefully that does answer your question.
