Yes, I mounted mine under a counter. They recommend about a minimum of 1/2” on all the sides and at least 1 3/4” in the back to safely dissipate heat.

Have you had any issues having this fridge recessed into cabinet after some time? I don't see any actual vents in the back of it either, so I am not sure how true it is that it should be used as freestanding only.
