Q: QuestionIs this very loud / noisy during normal use? How about when the compressor kicks on? Does the compressor turn on frequently? I would like to install this in my home office, but I do have web meetings and can't have this be very loud.

Asked 4 years ago by Beege.

• A:Answer It is silent when the compressor is off and when it runs it sounds like a small refrigerator running; however, it isn't annoying and super loud.

Q: QuestionCan this cooler be used outside on a porch?

Asked 4 months ago by Anonymous.

• A:Answer Hello, thank you for the question. The Insignia™ 130‑Can Beverage Cooler (Model NS‑BC130GP1) is built for indoor, climate‑controlled use only, so placing it outdoors or on an open porch isn’t recommended. Outdoor temperatures and humidity can impact cooling performance and shorten the unit’s lifespan. Poojitha | Insignia

Q: QuestionWhy does my fridge keep having water pool in the bottom?

Q: QuestionCan I be used under counter or inset to cabinet?

Asked 1 year ago by LB.

• A:Answer Thank you for your inquiry! The Insignia™ 130-Can Beverage Cooler (Model: NS-BC130GP1) is primarily designed as a freestanding appliance, meaning it is not intended for built-in or under-counter installation. According to the manufacturer’s guidelines, the unit requires adequate ventilation on all sides to function properly and avoid overheating. This means it should not be enclosed within cabinetry or placed directly under a counter without sufficient clearance. While some users have managed to place it under counters by allowing extra space—such as at least half an inch on the sides and nearly two inches at the back—this setup goes against the official recommendations and could potentially impact the cooler’s performance or void its warranty. If you're looking for a beverage cooler that can be seamlessly integrated into cabinetry, it would be best to consider a model specifically designed for built-in or under-counter use.
