A very quiet, well-made small refrigerator
After reading many reviews, I opted to purchase this item for auxiliary food storage - especially of my fruit harvests. It was nice to find a refrigerator only with no freezer and I found this item to be well-built and operating so quietly that I can have it in an open floor plan area without any disturbance at all. I did notice some complaints and realized that those were probably based on not having read the setup instructions. It is important to allow the unit to stand for several hours before plugging it in or the coolant will not have distributed itself properly and the unit could fail. Also, a 24 hour cool-down time is definitely recommended before setting the thermostat to where it is wanted. I used a probe-type thermometer with a cord leading to the display and observed the temperature for two days until I got it adjusted. We have another Avanti unit in our downstairs family room which has run very well for 15 years. I am pleased with this item and the careful delivery packaging.

Damaged
The fridge was purchased online and delivered to our house. The outer packaging seemed good but on closer inspection the fridge had 4 dents. One dent was across the whole face of the door. We returned to nearest Best Buy with no issues but will not be purchasing another. Poor quality control somewhere in the process and based on the clean packaging it would appear to be at the manufacturer. Be careful and inspect your purchase

Just What I was looking for
I didn't realize how difficult it would be to find a regular fridge without a freezer. Since I use this in my dorm room, I don't need a freezer. Let me tell you, this fridge is super quiet. I've had various types of mini-fridges, and this one is by far the best. The inner design is great, too. I can store 2 days worth of leftovers. I would definitely recommend this for a dorm room or man cave.
