No it doesn't, it would probably burn it out sooner. Warranty does not cover burned out display from static images. From owners manual: Display panel damaged by static (non-moving) images applied for lengthy periods (burn-in) If a fault is detected, the display shows one of the following codes. If a fault is indicated, call for service
