Yes, but you may have to use the "aspect" button after it does it automatic size thing. That works 99% of the time but every once in a while I have to manually adjust.

However, the configuration depends on the type of connection and on the format that the external source (DVD) provides. Either way, you can adjust the picture size with the remote.
