“I would like the audio to come on instantly when the TV is turned on. Is it safe to keep the sound bar powered 24/7? Can that damage or shorten the life of the sound bar? Or, is there a way it can be turned on automatically when my TV is turned on?”

I actually leave the soundbar powered on all the time. However, when I turn off the television, the sound bar shuts itself off (really going into a dormant mode) and must be manually turned on the next time I use the television. That may be because I am using the digital input, and it can recognize that there is no longer a digital signal coming into it. I don't know if it will do the same when using an analog input.
