I am not sure about this particular TV, but it most cases you would go into the setup menu under the Audio or Sound settings. You would then choose External speakers. Hope this helps!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would think there should be an on-screen menu in the Toshiba settings that lists sound options, including the ability to turn off internal TV speakers and use only the external speakers, but I have no specific knowledge of the Toshiba TV.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The set up of the Insignia Soundbar took some experimentation. I finally had to purchase a fiber optic cable (the one NOT included with the soundbar). After hooking up that cable, I had to manually turn down the TV speakers to zero. Then the sound bar worked. The sound bar will turn off automatically after several minutes of not receiving an audio signal. However, it must be turned on via its remote.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Step 1: Connect TV to sound bar, there are many options to connect: 1. Using a Fiber optic connection (TOSLink) connect your TV's optical out to the optical input of the soundbar. 2. If you TV support bluetooth, pair the soundbar to the TV. Again 3. If your TV supports analog/rca cables (red/white) connect red/white cables from TV to red/white cables on soundbar Step 2: Turn of TV sound using the TV menu, or just turn the tv volume all the way down
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Go to TV settings, disable TV sound. Select input for soundbar, good to go.
