No, any digital optical audio cable will work.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.That cable would be fine. I just purchased this sound bar and have it hooked up with an inexpensive Dynex optical cable I ordered from BB and it's working fine. I don't think there is hardly any difference in optical cables from one to the other.
