“When I hook the optical cord to the tv and sound bar I get a horrible static noise coming from the speaker. Also my tv doesn't have a pcm option in my settings. And the in put out put cords aren't working either..... PLEASE HELP”

Seems like you optical cable broke. It's fiber optic so you don't want to bend it. I would be surprised if best buy gave you a replacement cable if you brought it all to your store. Download your TV's manual and find the settings. They are there since you have digital audio ports. Had you wrote your model #, someone would have helped you .
