“Has anybody experienced the speakers collecting dust? Seems like there is some static cling effect on the front of the left and right speaker unit. Something about the surface of the plastic... would love any tips on how to get rid of the dust collecting.”

Rinse the area with a cloth and plain water, then let it dry. If the speaker has a removable metal or plastic grill, clean it (front and back) with a soapy sponge in the sink or tub.
