• It connects with HDMI or optical connection. The bass speaker connects wirelessly to the soundbar. I did have to change a setting on the tv for the speaker to work. Which was easy to do. The instructions were helpful in finding that

• It should be compatible with any TV that has the HDMI/ARC port. ARC stands for Audio Return Channel, this means there's two way communication between the devices.
