“Is there a way to change the soda/can rack on the inside door to the dispense-a-can kind (the one where the cans come out of the bottom)?? It looks like it should be able to because there is a little opening at the bottom.”

Nope - could probably remove what’s there (if you actually put standard sized cans, they can interfere with some shelf placement).
